1. Provide all labor, material, equipment, and accessories to install a pre-finished or field-finished hardwood floor.
2. Independent Contractor shall expect to work concurrently with other ICs. IC shall make every effort to fully cooperate to allow other trades to perform their activities.
3. Never install hardwood floor over defective or inappropriate subfloor (e.g., loose or warped subfloor, bowed joists, etc.). Should defective workmanship or materials be discovered, the Project Manager (PM) or Superintendent should be notified immediately.
9. Install flooring to allow proper expansion at walls, post, and stairs.
10. Field-finished floors shall be professionally sanded with no visible furrows. Inside corners shall be hand-sanded.

No estoy seguro, pero creo que quiere decir "sobre el terreno", por oposición al acabado en fábrica. Creo que (al menos para España) sería una forma clara de expresarlo.
